In Microsoft Project Online, one of the most powerful capabilities is that of governance workflows to funnel your proposals through the approval process and your projects through execution. A good workflow (or multiple workflows) can help ensure better strategic alignment of all work performed in the organization and improve resource utilization. As such, communicating the process visually has never been more important.
The Sensei Workflow Visualization™ is a free SharePoint Add-in for Microsoft Project Online that allows you to significantly upgrade the visual representation of your workflows. It allows your organization to create and upload powerful and detailed visuals for your governance workflow. It even comes with sample visuals for a proven, best-practices workflow.
To use the add-in with your Project Online instance, have your administrator go to the Microsoft AppSource and add it:

Then, you can either replace the native (simple) visualization on the Workflow Status page, and/or place the add-in on Project Detail Pages (PDP) like the ‘Schedule’ PDP. Detailed instructions are provided with the add-in.
For each workflow stage and state combination, you will need to upload an image (1650 x 250 resolution usually works well). The sample ones were created in PowerPoint, so this is very easy to do. If you need a template, just contact us and your account exec can send you samples.
Replace the native (simple) visualization on the Workflow Status page with the Sensei Workflow Visualization™ Add-in for a detailed, descriptive view.
Add the Sensei Workflow Visualization™ Add-in to any Project Details Page (PDP) to show the context of the overall governance process.
